We work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure our products meet applicable safety requirements in the markets we serve and provide clear instructions to help customers enjoy their furniture safely.

Every Style In Form product undergoes quality inspections before shipment to help ensure it arrives ready for safe assembly and everyday use.

Storage Beds

Storage beds require special care because of their lift mechanisms.

Each storage bed product page includes a downloadable Assembly & Safety Guide with complete assembly instructions and important safety information. Please review this guide before assembling or using your bed.

Important Safety Reminders

• Never allow children to play in or around an open storage bed.
• Keep hands and fingers clear of hinges and moving parts.
• Always use both hands when opening or closing the storage compartment.
• Never operate the lift mechanism without a mattress installed.
• Stop using the bed if the lift mechanism or hardware becomes damaged.

Tip Restraint Kits

Certain furniture may require wall anchoring to help reduce the risk of tip-over.

Where applicable, Style In Form includes tip restraint hardware with the product. If you believe your furniture should have included a tip restraint kit but one is missing, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

For maximum safety:

• Install the supplied tip restraint according to the assembly instructions.
• Place heavier items in lower drawers or shelves whenever possible.
• Do not allow children to climb, hang from, or play on furniture.

Upholstered Furniture

All Style In Form upholstered furniture sold in Canada complies with TB117-2013, a widely recognized flammability standard for residential upholstered furniture.

While upholstered furniture is designed to meet applicable flammability requirements, it is not fireproof.

For safe use:

• Keep upholstered furniture away from open flames, fireplaces, candles, and portable heaters.
• Never smoke while using upholstered furniture.
• Replace damaged electrical cords or other potential ignition sources located near furniture.

Engineered Wood Products

Many of our products contain engineered wood components such as MDF or plywood.

These materials comply with EPA TSCA Title VI formaldehyde emission requirements, one of the world's most stringent standards for indoor air quality. Products meeting this standard also satisfy equivalent Canadian formaldehyde emission regulations.

This helps ensure that engineered wood products sold by Style In Form meet strict limits for formaldehyde emissions, contributing to a healthier indoor environment.

Assembly & Everyday Use

To help ensure safe use and long-lasting performance:

• Follow all assembly instructions before using the product.
• Tighten hardware periodically as part of routine maintenance.
• Do not exceed recommended weight limits.
• Stop using the product if structural damage or excessive wear is observed.
• Use furniture only for its intended purpose.
• Place furniture on a level, stable surface to help prevent movement or tipping.
